Hello Naples Tango friends.
Last Friday we had so much fun at the last minute mini-milonga at the Bayshore Break - what a surprise!
This new place is informal, brand new, a bit artistic, clean, down-to-earth. Funny, it's a sandwich place during the day, but owners Bower and Lisa dreamed up a very sophisticated evening menu of modestly-priced, one-dish meals (such as fresh Tuna and Avocado tartare with Wasabi Vinaigrette and Sesame Crackers, . . . Cold Cucumber & Avocado Soup with Yogurt and Basil, . . . Caesar Salad Boats with Grilled Chicken . . . you get the idea). People raved about their food. The desserts and house wines were great too.
So the dining experience changed the atmosphere from dancing in a funky (as in "earthy and uncomplicated") new coffee shop to . . . what it might have been like if people had danced tango in New York's 1970's TriBeCa (when it was working artists' lofts, before the professionals moved in ;) ).
So let's meet there again this Friday! We're changing the formula a bit. Here are the details:
Friday, May 15, 2009 from 7:30-10:30 pm

at the Bayshore Break (the old Bayshore Coffee Company)
3570 Bayshore Drive (on the right coming from 41)
A light, but INTERESTING, menu of snacks and desserts will be available,
and wine, beer, coffees, cappuccinos, mochas, and special teas.
NEW!: Admission this Friday $10 - includes your first beverage (wine, beer, juices, coffees or teas)
2-for-1 Special!: Bring a FIRST TIME guest to Naples Tango and $10 covers drinks for two!
Bonus Dinner Raffle: In addition to your 2-for-1 Special, if you bring a first-time Naples Tango guest and they add their email address to our mailing list, YOUR name will go into the 9PM raffle drawing for a F.R.E.E. dinner menu dish! (Can cover what you may have already ordered.)

Make sure you arrive while it's still light out, so you can find the place easily. Keep an eye out on your right for the driveway marker of the LITTLE FAT MAN holding up the Bayshore Break sign.
